Maureen Kiritsy

About Me: 

Hi! My name is Maureen Kiritsy and I have been teaching at Arcata High for 29 years, in various special ed classes.  I am originally from the East Coast (Massachusetts) and did my undergrad/credentials at Boston College and U of Maine.  I received my additional teaching credential from San Jose State and have been living here in Arcata raising a family since 1991.  My daughter graduated from AHS in 2016, graduated from Boston University in 2020, and is currently attending graduate school at UMASS Boston. My son graduated from AHS in 2018, graduated from UCLA in 2022, and is currently attending graduate school at UCLA. My husband teaches History at Eureka High School. We love camping and exploring in beautiful Humboldt County! I look forward to meeting you and here’s to a great 2022-23 school year!!
