I am from San Bernardino, California, and moved to Arcata in 2008 to attend Humboldt State University, majoring in Political Science. I later earned my Master's in Educational Counseling from National University. My career in education all started with a poetry show which led me toward Hoopa High School. I worked as a substitute teacher there for a couple of years, where I gained experience in subbing for their Academic Counselor. I fell in love with counseling and have been pursuing it ever since. I have been working at Arcata High since 2017.
