Site Council
AHS SITE Council
The School Site Council is a team of the school principal, teachers, classified staff, parents, community members and students. School Site Council members are elected, with teachers electing teachers, parents electing parents, and students electing students. The School Site Council (SSC) monitors progress towards goals throughout the year and provides input and insight for the school staff.
The duties of the Site Council are important to the health of AHS. The Site Council is charged with approving reports and plans such as the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), the schools' Safety Plan, the district's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), and the School Accountability Report Card (SARC). The SSC reviews and revises the level Parent and Family Engagement Policy. Finally, the SSC represents the needs of Title 1 students by reviewing the use of Title 1 funds for programs that improve student performance.
