About Me

Johnny Kell, MSN, RN, CSN

My name is Johnny Kell, and I am proud to serve the students and families of the Northern Humboldt Union High School District as the district’s school nurse.

I am available to speak with students and parents, answer medical questions, and assist in navigating the often-complex world of adolescent health. My work includes supporting students with both common and rare pediatric conditions, as well as providing first aid and follow-up care for injuries that occur on or off campus. My priority is to ensure that every student receives compassionate, evidence-based care and has access to the resources they need to thrive.

I understand that medical diagnoses can be overwhelming, and healthcare providers in busy clinics or hospitals may not always have time to explain every detail. My goal is to bridge that gap—to reinforce the guidance of your primary provider and take the time necessary to ensure that students and families clearly understand their health situations.

I believe that physical and mental health are deeply interconnected, and I encourage students to discover activities that bring them energy, purpose, and joy. Personally, I find balance in the outdoors—boating, sailing, hiking, camping, surfing, snowboarding, fishing, and skateboarding—and I hope to inspire students to stay active, curious, and engaged in life.

If I can be of assistance, please feel free to reach out by email at [email protected] or call me at (707)825-2410.
