This is my tenth year of teaching and my third year at Arcata High School. For my teaching credential, I attended Cal Poly Humboldt and did my student teaching at Arcata High School and Six Rivers Charter High School. I like to fish, go on long drives, play disc golf, work in the garden and learn how to cook new meals.
At Chaffey Community College I studied mathematics and applied sciences. I transferred to UC Santa Cruz where I got my Bachelor's in Science degree with an emphasis in Pure Mathematics. Then I took a break from school for several years to explore and travel, mostly in the western U.S. states. After completing a Research Experience for Teachers at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, I knew I wanted to be back in the classroom.
