About me

I volunteered in the C&CC in 2014 and was hired as coordinator in 2015. After completing UCLA's Certificate Program in College Counseling, I substituted for Kathi Olesen as an Academic Counselor in the fall of 2017, learning lots about Northern Humboldt High School District's A-G and graduation requirements, CTE programs and more. I currently coordinate the NHUHSD C&CC for both Arcata High and McKinleyville High, and work with Native American students and their support staff.

Students visit the C&CC to create a resume, find a job, research gap year programs, find summer programs, brainstorm college and scholarship essays, take career assessment tests, search for colleges, explore majors and certificate programs and more.

I am passionate about my new puppy, college fit, college access, politics, and podcasts on just about anything!
