ArMack Music Program Offerings
ArMack Orchestra: This ensemble is a full orchestra made up of students from Arcata High, McKinleyville High, and Six Rivers Charter High. Orchestra is offered Zero Period (M-F 7:20-8:15).
ArMack Camerata Singers: This ensemble is a mixed choir (Soprano/Alto/Baritone) made up of students from Arcata High, McKinleyville High, and Six Rivers Charter High. Choir is offered 1st Period (M: 8:30-9:25, T/Th: 8:30-10:00, F: 8:30-9:29).
ArMack Jazz Band: This ensemble is a standard big band made up of students from Arcata High, McKinleyville High, and Six Rivers Charter High. Jazz is offered 2nd Period (M: 9:30-10:21, T/Th: 10:10-11:30, F: 9:34-10:32).
AAI Musical Exploration: This class is a part of the Performing Arts strand of the Arcata Arts Institute. This is an auditioned class open to all students in the NHUHSD. This is a small ensemble/solo focused class where students create their own ensembles and focus their learning on contemporary music genres. AAI Music is offered 4th Period (M: 11:27-12:18, W: 10:10-11:30, Th: 2:15-3:35, F: 11:45-12:43).
Guitar: This class is taught by Dr. Jennifer Trowbridge at McKinleyville High. The class is open to all students and focuses on beginning guitar techniques, music reading and literacy, and includes some elements of Modern Band. This class is offered 2nd Period (M: 9:30-10:21, T/Th: 10:10-11:30, F: 9:34-10:32).
