Justine Smith

I have been teaching art and photography in Humboldt County since 1999. I have a BA in studio art and art history from Cal State San Bernardino and an MFA in studio art from the San Francisco Art Institute. My favorite type of art to make is mixed media. For example, I like to mix paint with collage or photos. I really like layers and 3D elements. Some of my favorite subjects are flowers, birds and other things from nature. I am also an avid gardener, flowers and veggies. Gardening is an extension of my artistic expression.
