About Me

I was raised in Southern California. After attending UCLA, I worked for Qualcomm and then went to graduate school in Chicago. For four years after I received my MFA and MA in Art History, I taught at Southwestern Community College and at the Design Institute. Then I married, had a small tribe, spent time with toddlers before finally returning to teaching high school. I am a Education Specialist with both Mild/Mod and Mod/Extensive Needs credentials. I have written novels, been published on Amazon and some of my short stories have been sent on a Space X mission to the south pole of the moon in a time capsule on a lunar modular named Polaris. Every student who enters my classroom is expected to be the best person they can become. Utilizing positive reinforcement behavior plans and growth mindset conversations, I am here to help each student rise to their future potential.
