Testing
Dear AP Parents and Students:
AP Students must do two things to take their respective AP exam(s):
- Sign up for MyAP at myap.collegeboard.org, and use your AP teacher’s unique join code to join their AP class.
- Purchase an exam through the Nohum District store at https://osp.osmsinc.com/Nohum/. Click on Nohum Stores, then Arcata High.
Please note that signing up for MyAP and purchasing the exam are two separate steps and websites. Signing up for MyAP does not mean you have purchased an exam; buying an exam does not mean your student has signed up for MyAP. Both steps must be completed on or before Tuesday, November 12, 2024, for your student to take their AP exam(s). They can only take their exam(s) if they do both. No exceptions if they do not. The cost is $99 per exam.
Please be sure to select the correct test, as no refunds will be given to students who purchase an incorrect one. There will also be no refunds for students who decide not to take the exam after the ordering deadline. Alternate test dates are available for students with scheduling conflicts and may incur a $45 fee depending on the reason for an alternate test date.
Fee Waiver
Students in the free and reduced lunch program qualify for an AP exam fee waiver and cannot order their tests online. Instead, they must contact their counselor to pay in person. All fee waivers must be paid by check (made out to AHS) or cash. Cash payments must be exact change. With a fee waiver, exams are $30. Please email your counselor if you are not part of the free and reduced lunch program but feel you qualify.
AP Exam Dates 2025
*Studio Art Students must submit all three components of their portfolio on or before May 9th.
