English 3CP is a course in American Literature that invites students into the great conversations of American society. Students in this course explore the ways in which writers, artists, and musicians work to expose the triumphs and failings of the American democratic experiment. We'll read a variety of genres-- novels, short stories, articles, nonfiction pieces, documentaries, poetry, art and comics. Students will develop deeply personal understandings of the works and challenge their current beliefs and core understandings of our nation and their world.
