Cal-SOAP Success Coaches

Hey Seniors! We are a team of Success Coaches through the Cal-SOAP program (California Student Opportunity and Access Program), and we are here to help you find success after high school.  Don’t know what you’re going to do after you graduate?  Need help with college, scholarship, or trade school applications?  Unsure how to access all the free financial aid money you can use to pay for school?  Come talk to us in the Tiger Opportunity Center!

  • Financial aid and college access assistance via group workshops or 1-on-1 advising;
  • Support with FAFSA/CADAA, FSA ID, and WebGrants4Students;

My name is Rachel and I am from the Los Angeles area. I am a graduate student in the Environment and Masters program at Cal Poly Humboldt. I find joy in mentoring and teaching students in a way that cultivates a love of learning and curiosity towards ourselves and the world around us. Some things I love are reading, writing poetry, roller skating, going to concerts, and dancing anywhere where music is playing!

I am passionate about being a success coach with CAL-SOAP because I know how difficult navigating the college and financial aid process can be. I want to make this process as smooth and clear as possible, finding the resources and goals that best support the well-being of students and families.

My name is Audri and I am from Central Valley California. I am currently a grad student in Cal Poly Humboldt in the Applied English Program. I am working my way to become a school librarian. A couple of things I love to do are crocheting, reading, watching a good show, listening to music, and winning in Mario Kart!

I have been working with Cal SOAP for about 4 years now and I have had just the best time. I love working with students and helping them figure out college. I know how hard the college and especially the financial aid process can be, so I am here to try and help students and families make this process as simple as possible!
My name is Thanh, and I’m from Orange County, Southern California. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley and am currently pursuing my M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Cal Poly Humboldt. Early on, I considered a career as an elementary school teacher or nurse, which led me to gain hands-on experience in both fields. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in exploring these areas! Now, my goal is to become a child and family therapist, helping people lead more satisfying lives. In my free time, I love taking my siblings on adventures, lifting weights, baking, watching true crime, and spending time in nature. I hope to be a resource and look forward to working with you all.
