Hey Seniors! We are a team of Success Coaches through the Cal-SOAP program (California Student Opportunity and Access Program), and we are here to help you find success after high school.  Don’t know what you’re going to do after you graduate?  Need help with college, scholarship, or trade school applications?  Unsure how to access all the free financial aid money you can use to pay for school?  Come talk to us in the Tiger Opportunity Center!

I am Liam, a senior philosophy major at Cal Poly Humboldt.  I grew up in the Sacramento suburbs and I have spent most of my life supporting students as a volunteer teacher or tutor.  Outside of my work and school responsibilities, I love cooking, trail running, and playing board games!


As a Success Coach, I'm dedicated to helping students set and attain ambitious yet attainable goals that align with who they are as an individual.  I am excited to help connect seniors to the abundant resources available and support them through their future success!

My name is Maia and I’m from a small town in the Bay Area. I study Psychology and Child Development at Cal Poly Humboldt. Working with students of all ages is my passion due to the many obstacles I faced in my education. Aside from my work life, I love to spend time outdoors: surfing, sailing, and dancing!


I work at CAL-SOAP to encourage students to explore all forms of educational financial aid. With many resources and opportunities at hand, I can guide students and parents through the complex process to receive as much aid as possible!

My name is Rachel and I am from the Los Angeles area. I am a graduate student in the Environment and Masters program at Cal Poly Humboldt. I find joy in mentoring and teaching students in a way that cultivates a love of learning and curiosity towards ourselves and the world around us. Some things I love are reading, writing poetry, roller skating, going to concerts, and dancing anywhere where music is playing!


I am passionate about being a success coach with CAL-SOAP because I know how difficult navigating the college and financial aid process can be. I want to make this process as smooth and clear as possible, finding the resources and goals that best support the well-being of students and families.
